The Whitney Review of New Writing is expanding literary criticism. Bringing together author interviews, literary essays, and short-format book reviews, it offers an interdisciplinary perspective on the culture of reading and writing.

The seventh issue of The Whitney Review marks three years of the project’s evolving interdisciplinary approach to literary criticism. The new issue features conversations between Christina Catherine Martinez and Ariana Reines, Darius James and Taylor Lewandowski, Lisa Carver and Esra Padgett, and Sophie Becker with Bonnie Erickson, the designer of Miss Piggy; essays by Cristine Brache, manuel arturo abreu, and Savannah Knoop; poetry by Precious Okoyomon; and over 70 short-form reviews: contributors like A. S.
