taphophile (noun): A person who is interested in cemeteries, funerals and gravestones.

This issue of The Tapho-files includes an introductory essay describing how and why I came to visit cemeteries regularly.

The zine contains pictures of mausoleums, monuments, and headstones from two of America's oldest garden cemeteries: Forest Hills in Boston and Mount Auburn in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

With each image, there is a short essay about the deceased, information about the sculptor, and an explanation of why I included a photograph of the marker.
