In her fifth and final issue of the ‘Malarkey’ series, November Garcia attempts to move beyond her self-destructive, debaucherous hijinks (though there’s still plenty of that) in order to address a sudden onslaught of deaths, deal with complicated familial relationships, as well as reflect on youth and mortality.

Steeped in her signature self-effacing humor, this work continues to demonstrate why she is what reviewer Ryan Carey calls “the premier autobio cartoonist of our time”.
