- Description
The Fusion Issue.
We believe it is important to explore the ways people, culture, and ideas come together to create culture that is greater than the sum of its parts. In today’s world we are presented with an eclectic mix of ideas and cultures – largely due to the power of the internet and the effective nature of modern technology.
Zeromile #14 explores the ways in which the diversity we are exposed to strengthens concepts, ideas, and movements. Article topics this year reflect the diversity of both the topic and the student body at MSU Denver by exploring technology: human AI hybrids, and robotics. Indigenous religion: Santa Muerte, Curanderismo, and the fusion of Christianity and Indigenous beliefs in Peru, and personal essays reflecting on intergenerational Korean immigrant and Black Cajun culture.
Zeromile is published annually by students and faculty in the Communication Design program of the Art Department of Metropolitan State University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. Staff members of the magazine are students in the Communication Design Program pursuing BFA degrees.
