"...in the early 1990s. I was working as a photographer at the Baltimore Sun. Baltimore's big, daily newspaper. It was a magnificent place to work, and in the realm of my fulltime labors, easily the best job I ever had - wonderful environment, interesting coworkers, and, not to be overlooked, good pay. ... This is a memoir, my memories of things past. By its nature, memory is an untrustworthy thing. But I've tried to be as true to it as a I could. I've included names and dates when possible, left out some when necessary. There are stories that I believe happened exactly as printed, and some are hazy amalgams of things remembered from the old days. ..."
