Sunshine Pioneer #1

A photo zine about New York City movie theaters. 

This issue features pictures of 48 different cinemas in NYC spread across 24 digest-sized pages. All the pictures were shot on 35mm or 120mm film between January and April of 2026.

The theaters featured in Sunshine Pioneer #1 are located all over the city, in four of the five boroughs (sorry Staten Island...) and range from single screen microcinemas to multiplexes with twenty-five auditoriums.
