Josh Bayer takes the stories of ROM The Space Knight, originally written by Bill Mantlo and makes them his own, reinterpreting them and developing his mythology into something that speaks to his character, “Theth” an alienated middle school boy, who very much wants an escape from his own troubling world.

The impact of RM’s punk aesthetic and outsider visuals cannot be understated. Josh exploits his keen sense of the grotesque and horrific to make this a wonderfully nightmarish and completely unique experience, contrasting the fantastic with the heartbreakingly real.
