Embroidery Lab: The Medical History Nerd's Introduction to Decorative Needlework is a How-to guide to embroidery, but it isn't meant to be a guide to surgical repair. Sorry folks, Kriota recommends a qualified physician.

However, it does show needle types, fabric prep, thread types and even includes some lovely small patterns (skulls, a griffin, a human male body and more) that a potential embroiderer customer can use to transfer onto the proper paper (also covered) and then onto fabric.  (Not skin, FABRIC.) Sheesh.

The medical connection is that she learned all this from her residency at the New York Academy of Medicine Library.
