Apples collects funky vignettes of everyday life drawn by Desmond Reed. A group of five friends, Ralph Jonathan, Wallace T.J., Mona Gertrude, Gil Christopher, and Henrietta Susan deal with the challenges and joys life throws at them. Social pressures, work, depression, and self-doubt are handled with a good sense of humor, food, drugs, and friendship!

Desmond uses high-contrast art, patterns and noodly lines to imbue his comics with energy and a sense of lightheartedness, even when the subject matter gets grim. Apples will help you laugh at life, as you’ll certainly see yourself among the friends in these pages!
