Mining the depths for unpredictable visual and literary ore!

A Special revised edition of Mineshaft #4, long out-of-print and very hard to find, featuring Charles Bukowski, a beautiful new logo & cover lettering by Christoph Mueller, and a new drawing of banjo player Gus Cannon by R. Crumb, is now available!

This is the issue of Mineshaft that I first sent to R. Crumb, more than 25 years ago, asking him if he would consider contributing to Mineshaft. He responded with a letter and 20 sketchbook pages, and he's been contributing ever since.

Features the classic poem by Charles Bukowski, "the tragedy of the leaves" to go along with an editorial tribute, "The Day Bukowski Died."

Also in #4 are stories from Tommy Trantino and Karl Orend (Orend wrote an essay about his boyhood growing up in Transylvania), plus poetry by Jeremy Reed, Catherine Aldington, Mark Terrill, Irving Stettner, A.D. Winans & more!
