And that, of course, is the ultimate compliment. Any state can be called free (though maybe not old line), but to be weird is to be truly special.

And there's no one better to record the strangeness of Maryland, with its cursed roads, oddball museums, curious people, and darn peculiar sites than best-selling author Matt Lake. Matt, being a transplanted Englishman, is himself a bit of a curiosity, so he fit right in.
